1. Purchase one conduit pole (1/2” inside diameter x 10’ long) from your local hardware store. Cut in half.
2. Screw the base plate shaft into the base plate, and place the 5’ conduit over the shaft so that the conduit stands vertically on base plate.
3. To curl a 260Q, fully inflate the balloon, then release the air. Wrap the 260Q evenly around a small cylinder, then air inflate. Balloon will curl as it is inflated. Air inflated two 260Q and tie the necks of the 260Q together forming a chain. Make a total of seven sets. Three orange sets, two blue sets, and two white sets. Set aside until needed.
4. Air-inflate two blue 11” balloons sized to 10” and tie them together to make a duplet. Make another duplet and twist the two duplets together to make a cluster of four balloons. Make a total of two clusters.
5. Air-inflate two white 11” balloons sized to 8” and tie them together to make a duplet. Make another duplet and twist the two duplets together to make a cluster of four balloons. Make a total of two clusters.
6. Air-inflate two blue 11” balloons sized to 6” and tie them together to make a duplet. Make another duplet and twist the two duplets together to make a cluster of four balloons. Make a total of three clusters. (use balloon sizing templates to ensure all balloons are inflated uniformly)
7. Start by attaching your clusters to the bottom of the conduit pole at the base plate and working your way up. Start with your largest 10” blue cluster, and work your way up the pole graduating down to 8” cluster, then down to 6” cluster.
8. Repeat step 7 by adding the balloon clusters to the top of the conduit pole. Start with 10” cluster, working your way down the conduit pole. Then add 8” cluster, then 6” cluster.
9. To attach a cluster to the conduit, separate two of the balloons in the cluster and push the cluster onto the conduit. To secure, twist together the two balloons that were separated.
10. Add next cluster, rotate it 45 degrees so it’s nested into the first cluster, before securing, push its center firmly against the first cluster’s center.
11. Air-inflate 3’ basketball latex and tie into top cluster as shown.
12. Attach one 260Q orange set to the bottom of the 3’ balloon, run down conduit pole and attach to bottom cluster. Add one 6” blue balloon cluster to middle of conduit pole, as shown.
13.Add remaining 260Q sets to top and bottom balloon clusters. Three sets 260Q in top, Three sets 260Q in bottom.
